About

I am a single vegan lesbian living with three dogs and three cats on Vashon, a small rural community island just west of Seattle. I am a volunteer tutor and librarian at Student Link, Vashon’s alternative high school. I also quilt, making lap quilts which I call “Portable Hugs.” I donate these to a variety of charities, but primarily to Vashon Youth and Family Services. I write haiku and fiction and have just published my first novel, Dragon Riders, and soon will publish a book of haiku followed by my second novel. This blog contains my philosophical musings, photo updates, comments on my life or life in general, and anything else I feel like writing about.

    1. Thanks, and enjoy the wandering!

  2. Is purple your favorite color? It is mine, pink too! Liked your perspective on anger. I always held the opinion it was an indication of fear but you’ve got me thinking.

    1. Thanks, Cynthia. And yes, purple is certainly my favorite with pink as a very close second!
